Mr. Smoak is a licensed Alabama Private Investigator. He Honorably Retired from the California Highway Patrol (CHP) with over 20 years of investigative experience. He has investigated cases ranging from basic traffic accidents to more complex investigations such as murder cases. He spent many years assigned to the coveted Special Response Team (SRT) handling many high-profile tactical assignments. He served as a Certified Range Master/Weapons Officer and has trained hundreds of uniformed members of the CHP and other law enforcement agencies. His years of experience and training in advanced specialized interviewing techniques will translate into results for your individual case or your client's cases.
Mr. Smoak has vast experience (as the solo or lead investigator) investigating vehicular homicides, criminal cases, insurance fraud, staged collisions, and embezzlement. As a former U.S. D.O.T. Commercial Inspector, he has expertise in U.S. D.O.T. Commercial trucking regulations, compliance, legislation and inspections. He also served as a Certified Hazardous Materials Specialist and Certified HazMat Incident Commander, working on numerous hi-profile HazMat incidents.
